Job Description



Position: Activity Assistant in Assisted Living

The Village at Cedar Hill is seeking a part-time 28-32 hour per week activity assistant in the Assisted Living wing at the Village at Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community.


Under the direction of the Activity Director, the Activity Assistant will assist in the planning, coordination and implementing of the Therapeutic activity programs on a daily basis to meet the residents’ needs and interests.


The Activity Assistant needs to possess the following educational and experience requirements and support the following professional viewpoints:


  • Have a thorough knowledge of various Resident Activities, and have a familiarity with Resident needs and limitations.
  • Be able to work in close cooperation with the Activity Director, accept and utilize constructive criticism, and display initiative to complete activity related tasks and programs.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Required license or certification:



  • Valid Driver’s license


Provides a variety of services to residents with the strong desire of assisting residents to live as fully and as independently as possible with a good quality of life. Prior LNA experience or current license is a plus. For applicants to be considered for the Memory Care Unit, he/she must have at least 1 year experience in the understanding and caring for persons with Dementia.
